Where dose New Zealand money come from it comes from
the reserve bank owned by the New Zealand government
Queen Elizabeth the 2ed. The old five dollar note looked
like this the new five dollar note looks like this.

Third series of banknotes: $1 – Coins and banknotes – Te Ara ...$5 note – Hillary, Edmund Percival – Te Ara Encyclopedia of New ...NZ rules! Five dollar note wins world currency beauty parade - NZ ...

why did they make $1 and $2 coins instead of notes. Thay
compared notes with coins notes could rip but the coins wont
rip because they are solid. Here are the $1 and $2 notes and
the coins.

the most amazing origami jolly jars.

This term, our Project Based Learning (PBL) started with the teachers putting us into groups. In these groups we had to work collaboratively to create Jolly Jars for the school fair. This task helped us to begin exploring our PBL question for the term - How can we build community through our actions? We had to research ideas, be creative with our product, experiment with our materials and write instructions that could be followed by others.

Here is a link to my instructions.

I learnt that instructions need to have capitals and full stops.

Reflection on PBL:
For our Jolly Jar my group made origami jars.

I contributed to my group by decorating the jar with paint and glitter and pompoms, I helped cut things out and make things.

Our Jolly Jar was creative because it was over decorated with glitter and pompoms we put a dog face on the lid.

What I learned about working with others was it was fun and people help each other.

How did we build community through our actions? Our jars got sold

and the money goes to the bike track at school. We had a fun day working together to make our school a fun place.

Greetings Prime Minister

We need food. People are looting and breaking our shop windows. My kids have
flour bags for clothes and they hate it. Please give us food, clothes and money.
Our children are skinny because of you they are sick and hungry. Please I can't see my
kids like this anymore because they have gone to a home. We can’t just give our kids
bread all the time they are already tired of it. We have to go to soup kitchens for
food  but we only get a little bit of food. I only get to see my kids once a month.
I can’t see my kids like this anymore, I have to give them a little bit of food all
the time. It just has to stop and you can't treat New Zealand families like this.
PLEASE HELP

Sincerely Ebony & Jasmine,

museum day

Trip to the Museum

On Monday we went to the museum and we saw a wizard. He had a fake nose so I gave him a nickname it was fake nose. Outside we climbed a tree.
We had great fun! I got really high. Later we went inside and me and my group went to the  brake the ice area. There was  a game that was fun. Then we went to the birds and it was fun and educational. When we where using the tools my group had lots of fun and my favourite was carving the wood. We got told to go around the edges then we will go in the middle, but i did not get to that part. It was really tiring. The pounamu was pretty sharp but it did not cut me. I loved going to the Museum .
