winter spots

For winter sport I play netball. I have found netball hard because I have never played it before.

Over the winter sport season my team have won 1 time. It was the second to last day of winter.

Next season I would like to do is hockey because I didn't get to do it this year.

I’d like to thank my teammates for their support and my coach for their help.

My highlight for this season has been that it is fun and I think you should do it too. Playing a winter sport is good for you.

Questions
What winter sport do you play?
How successful was your winter sport season bean?
What do you like most about spots?
If you play winter sport what might you like to change about it?

Spelling fun!!!!!!

This is my story of my spelling. We are learning to spell words that have the 'ar' sound in them. I am enjoying spelling because I know that it will help me become a better speller. As part of my learning, I had to write a story using many words with the 'ar' sound. We had 3 minutes to write one.
Here it is
Mark was doing art and having a fart he laughed as hard as he can and he couldn't stop farting so he hoped in his car and went so far he in his car.
What do you think of my story.

Tumu's PBL Reflection 2019

Tumu's P.B.L Reflection 2019
 I made a plane, a car and a boat.

To make a plane you will need...

  • straws
  • paper
  • duck tape
  • play-dough

We made  cars and we won! In my group Ebony, Claudia, Santana and Zoe. We needed...
  • straws
  • paper
  • tape
  • rubber bands
The next one was a boat where we were put  marbles in it. We only got 4 in before it sank and we came last. This is what you need...
  • straws
  • paper
  • tape
  • tin foil
  • cups
So that is what we made! Why don't you give it a go?!

Taiwan tries to tidy up

In reading our goal has been to identify at least one important idea from an article and justify why it is important.

An important idea from an article is that Taiwan was turning into a garbage land. They decided to clean it up. They had trucks that played music to let them know to put the garbage out.

We have been learning a lot in climate change and we designed a poster that we we would take to to a strike, here is my image:

Do you like my poster?

PBL Kindness by jasmine

PBL - Term 1
by jasmine
This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about kindness and the big question was: How can we build community through our actions?

First, we explored some collaborative activities and discussed how we could include kindness and build a sense of community through our actions at camp. Next, we were organised into groups where we had to unpack the above question. In our groups we considered how we could spread community and kindness through our entire school community. We decided that we would offer something that was free and would make others happy.

We did sports with Paiaka. The sports we did was riper ruby, Ball Elimination and Touch.

Reflection:
For our final product our group played games with the children in Paiaka.

How did our action build a sense of community in the school? Made children play fitness and it spread happiness.

I contributed by helping and getting every one fit and giving people certificates.

I think the PBL might impact on others by meeting other people and helping them with sports.

What I learned about working with others was it is important to be good sportsmanship.
